Where is your company regulated and licensed?

AGM Markets Limited is a Cypriot Investment Firm regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission under license number CIF 145/11. AGM Markets Limited is a holder of a MiFID passport for all E.U. countries. It also holds cross border licence to provide its services internationally.

What are your trading hours?

The foreign exchange market operates round the clock five days a week, from Sunday 22:00 GMT (21:00 GMT during DST) till Friday 22:00 GMT (21:00 GMT during DST). Our Customer Service Team is available 24 hours a day during the Market hours for any inquiries you may have. 
The time displayed in the Market Watch window of the MT4 and MT5 platforms is set in GMT.

Demo Accounts

How can I open a Demo account?

In order to open a Demo Account, you need to complete the registration form for a Demo Account. You will receive a confirmation email containing your account number and password. In order to start trading you have to download the MT4 or MT5 platforms and fill out your account details.

How long can I keep trading on a Demo Account?

Your Demo Account validity period will not expire, so you can continue practicing new strategies on it, even after you start trading on a Live Trading Account. However, if you do not log into your Demo Account for 30 days, it will be automatically closed and deleted due to inactivity. In case you want to resume the Demo Account option, you must open a new demo account.

Does a Demo Account have the same functionality as a Live Account?

The Demo Account has the same functionality as the Live Account, i.e. you can see the live quotes and graphs, trade the same instruments and set the same types of orders on it as on the Live Trading Account, but on the Demo Account you will be trading with virtual money, without involving any real funds, and all your trades will be executed virtually.

How can I increase the balance of my Demo Account?

In order to increase the balance of your Demo Account, please send a request from your registered email to accounts@agmmarkets.com, stating your Demo Account number and the virtual deposit amount that you want to deposit to your Demo Account.

Live Accounts

How can I open a Live Account?

The registration of a new trading account is fast and easy. In order to open a Live Trading Account, you need to follow the 3 easy registration steps. After this, you will receive a confirmation email containing Login Details for your Members Page on the website. As soon as your documents are approved and your Trading Account is activated, you will receive an email containing Login Details to your Live Account.

What documents are required for opening a Trading Account?

In order to open a trading account, you will need to submit the following documents:
  • Proof of ID – Coloured scanned clear copy of either a passport or 2 other forms of official (government-issued) ID (i.e. Identification card, driving license etc.). Any type of ID sent, must not be due to expire within 3 months.
  • Proof of Residence – Utility Bill or Bank Statement that matches the FULL name and address as the one provided on your application. Please note that the document provided must not be dated more than 6 months.

Is it possible to open two or more Trading Accounts?

Yes, you can open several Trading Accounts on different platforms, in different currencies or with different trading conditions. Please note that in case you decide to hold more than one Trading Account with the Company, you are required to open new accounts under your registered e-mail address.

Does AGM Markets offer Corporate Accounts?

Account Funding and Withdrawals

How can I fund my trading account?

You can deposit funds to your Trading Account by choosing one of our available payment methods:

How can I withdraw funds from my Trading Account?

You can withdraw funds from your Trading Account using one of the most popular withdrawal methods such as:

How long does a fund transfer take?

Deposits are credited to the Trading Account within one working day from the moment funds reach our company. Please note that a bank transfer may take a few business days to reach clients’ segregated account.
Withdrawals are processed by our company within one working day from the moment the request was. made. Please note that it can take a few working days for the funds to reach your bank account.

Are there any fees for depositing and withdrawing funds?

We do not charge any fees on deposits or withdrawals; however you will be liable to any fees incurred by your bank / payment source provider. Although, in some cases we shall cover these fees. Please see our Deposit/Withdrawal page for more details.

Can I withdraw funds if I have (an) open position(s)?

In some cases a withdrawal can be processed regardless having open positions on the trading account, however based on margin requirements on open positions, the withdrawal process can be delayed until open position(s) is (are) closed.

Can I withdraw funds from my account as often as I wish?

Yes, you can withdraw funds as often as you wish. Based on margin requirements on open positions, the withdrawal process can be delayed until open positions are closed.

Will my funds on the account be safe?

AGM Markets is a licensed and fully regulated Cypriot Investment Firm, subject to strict financial and reporting requirements under the European Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) and CySEC Laws. All clients’ funds are placed in segregated clients’ bank accounts. Our company participates in the Investor Compensation Fund, which aims to compensate retails clients’ claims in certain cases, where the Investment firm is unable to meet any of its obligations. How can I transfer funds between my trading accounts?

In order to transfer funds between your trading accounts, please send a request from your registered e-mail address to accounts@agmmarkets.com, stating:
  • your full name
  • the account number from which you wish to transfer funds
  • the account number to which you wish to transfer funds
  • the amount and the currency that you want to transfer

The transfer will be processed within one working day since the request was received.

Please note that you can transfer funds only between your own trading accounts registered under the same e-mail address.

Are third party transfers allowed?

No, third party transfers to and from your trading account are not allowed. Please note that upon funding your trading account you acknowledge that the source of funds belongs to you and is registered under your name.

Members Page

Why do I need my Members Page?

In your Members Page you can:
  • Deposit/Withdraw Funds
  • Upload Documents
  • Update your Contact Details
  • Create a new Trading Account

How do I get to my Members Page?

Members Page is only accessible for registered clients. In order to access your Members Page, please follow the link “Login” in the top right corner of the website and fill in your Login and Password submitted during the registration process.

Is it possible to change my registration e-mail address?

Yes, you can change your registration e-mail address. In order to do it, please send a request from your registered Email address to us at accounts@agmmarkets.com, specifying your account number and the new e-mail address that you want to register.

What should I do if I have forgotten my Members Page password?

If you have forgotten your Members Page password, please follow the link “Forgot your password?”on the authorization page of our website. 

After that:

  • Type in your registered e-mail address in the relevant field and click “Send” button
  • A message containing the password recovery link will be sent to your e-mail
  • Follow the link “Restore password”
  • Fill in Login, New Password and Password Confirmation fields

If you are unable to log into your Members Page with your new password, please contact us via e-mail accounts@agmmarkets.com.

How can I change my Members Page password?

You can change your password from Profile Section of your Members Page. Fill in the “New Password”, “Confirm Password” fields.

How can I recover my password for Trading Account?

To recover the password for your Trading Account you can write a request for password recovery from your registered e-mail address at accounts@agmmarkets.com. Please specify your Trading Account number and your ID data in the e-mail. A new password will be generated automatically and sent to your e-mail address.

Trading

Can I access my trading account from any computer?

You can access your trading account from any computer which is connected to the Internet and has the relevant trading platform installed.

Will my positions remain open when my computer is not connected to the Internet?

Once you opened (a) position(s), you do not need to keep your computer connected to the Internet. If you switch off your computer, it will not affect any of your open or pending position(s)/order(s).

What is the leverage?

Leverage is generally the amount of money that you can borrow from the broker for trading in order to increase the deal sizes you are able to trade, and therefore, increase your potential profit. The leverage shows how many times your deposit may be multiplied in order to open a position. For example, leverage 1:100 means that with a deposit of 500 USD you can open a position of up to 500x100=50,000 USD. 

You should be very careful with leverage, as along with increasing your potential profit, it increases the risk of your potential losses that can occur to be up to the full amount of your deposit.

What Leverage does AGM Markets offer?

AGM Markets offers leverage up to 1:500.  Please see our Account Types page for more information.

What is the margin and the margin call?

Margin is the amount that gets blocked (frozen) on your Trading Account when you open a position, as collateral for the leverage you are using.
Margin guarantees the broker providing you with the leverage that their funds will remain intact in case that you get a loss, and at the same time it guarantees you that you will not lose more funds than you deposited.

Some funds on your account may stay available after you open a position – they ensure that your position stays open in case of temporary negative price changes. However, if in this case there are not enough available funds on your account to maintain the position, a margin call occurs, when the Company requests you to fund your account shortly, otherwise any of your open positions may be closed by force.

What trading platforms do you offer?

We offer MetaTrader 4 platform, one of the most popular and reliable platforms and MetaTrader 5, the most innovative platform designed by Metaquotes. Our MT4 platform is also available for iPhone, iPad and Android smartphone devices or Tablets. You have the opportunity to choose the platform which suits your trading needs.

What are the differences between MT4 and MT5?

MT4 and MT5 are both widely used training platforms offering several features and functionalities. With MT4 platform you can trade easily and professionally, having full hedging capabilities. MT5 platform offers technical indicators which make your trading, in longer terms, easier. With MT5 you can also average your position. MT5 is not an upgrade or a replacement for MT4. Both platforms can enhance your trading skills. You have the opportunity to choose the most proper and suitable Forex trading platform for you.

Do you charge any commissions on trading?

Commissions depend on the Trading Account type. AGM Markets charges commissions only on ECN Trading Accounts.  Please check our Account Types comparison table for more information.

What is the minimum deposit to start trading?

The minimum deposit to start trading with our company is 250USD on a MINI Account. Account Types with different trading conditions and deposit requirements are also available. You will find more detailed information in our Account Types comparison table.

Do you offer ECN Trading Accounts?

Yes, we offer ECN trading on AGM MT4 and MT5 platforms.  Please see our ECN trading conditions for more information.

What are the benefits of ECN Trading Accounts?

Through an ECN Account you can experience the greatest price transparency. You will be abled the best bid and ask prices. Tighter spreads will also give you better levels to enter and exit the market.

Is scalping allowed while trading?

In AGM Markets all trading strategies are allowed including scalping. We do not have any trading restrictions; our company welcomes scalpers or those who are using EA (Expert Advisors).

What is the minimum Deposit for opening an ECN Trading account?

The minimum deposit to start trading with our company on ECN Account is 1000 USD. You will find more detailed information in our Account Types comparison table.

Is hedging allowed while trading?

Hedging is allowed on MT4 trading platform only. MT5 is designed so that hedging is not available on this trading platform.

What is the minimum lot size?

The minimum lot size to open a position is 0.01 Lot on MINI Accounts. A standard Lot is equal to 100,000 units of base currency, so 0.01 Lot is equal to 1,000 units of base currency. Base currency is the first currency in the currency pair; for example, in the pair EUR/USD the base currency is the EUR.

Do you offer Islamic Forex Accounts?

Yes, we do offer Islamic Accounts that have been especially designed to accommodate the religious principles of the Islamic community.  Please see our Islamic Accounts for more information.

Do you increase spreads in volatile markets?

During major news announcements the financial markets can become volatile and there is a possibility that spreads may widen. (not tight)

Can I use Expert Advisors?

Yes, you can since AGM Markets does not have any trading restrictions. You can use Expert Advisors on our MT4/MT5 platforms.

What are my risks in trading?
